JOHN NORTON*
John Norton is known for his practical and strategic approach to legal and business problems. John practises law in the area of mergers & acquisitions and divestitures, corporate governance and commercial law. He has extensive experience in real estate development law and venture capital law.
John has practised business law for over 30 years and during the last 10 years has also acted as counsel and chair in various arbitrations relating to major business issues and real estate matters.
Industry Experience
John is a member of a number of Canadian and international associations, including the Asia Pacific Lawyers Association, the Arbitrators Institute of Canada Inc., the B.C. Arbitration and Mediation Institute and The Law Society of British Columbia and is an International Associate of the American Bar Association and a past member of the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration. He has been a director of numerous companies and advisory boards, including B.C. Housing Management Commission, Downtown Vancouver Association, Yaletown Housing Society, Vancouver Neurological Centre, Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club, St. George’s School Foundation, Shawnigan Lake School Board of Governors, Thunderbird Golf Society, Pacific Parkinsons Research Institute, Air Canada Championship, Order of St. John Palliative Care Foundation, as well as many closely held corporations. He has also acted as counsel on behalf of the Vancouver International Airport Authority, Department of Justice, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and United Van Lines. John is Chairman of Universal Packaging Inc. and the Order of St. John Palliative Care Foundation.

JEFFREY C. BOSCHERT
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Friend, Colleague and Partner at Law, Jeffrey Boschert on January 19, 2022. Jeff was the Managing Partner of the Vernon Office of DuMoulin Boskovich LLP. Jeff had extensive experience in his field which included over 25 years in Real Estate Development. Jeff assisted his clients in every stage of the development process.
Jeff grew up on Vancouver Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia and his Bachelor of Law at the University of Victoria. Jeff was called to the Bar in 1995 and began his career in Victoria with the Firm, Crease Harman. Jeff went on to work as in-house legal counsel for a major strata-titled rental pool resort development on Vancouver Island before moving to Vernon. Jeff joined Davidson Lawyers LLP in 2002 where he was an Associate and Partner for 18 years. Jeff then joined forces with DuMoulin Boskovich LLP to open their second location in Vernon.
Jeff was the past President of the Vernon Bar Association, a past Director of both the North Okanagan Employment Enhancement Society (NOESS) and the United Way as well as a current Director of The People Place.
Jeff will be missed by his two boys, family, friends and colleagues.
