IRA WIESEL
Ira is a seasoned litigation lawyer and a skilled courtroom advocate. His practise focuses on resolving high-complexity, high-risk, and high-conflict legal disputes. He has diverse litigation experience, including in criminal proceedings, insurance defence, commercial litigation, and family law.
Ira has regularly appeared as lead counsel in both the Provincial Court and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. He has successfully defended individuals charged by the Crown with indictable criminal offences. He has resolved financial and parenting disputes in high-net worth and in high-conflict family law matters. Between 2019-2022, Ira acted on behalf of the Federal Crown, prosecuting drug trafficking offences in the jurisdictions of Surrey, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam.
Ira is an alumnus of UBC’s Allard School of Law, where he was recognized for his courtroom advocacy abilities. He was awarded both the JSD Tory Prize and the Michael R. Luchenko Award for Excellence in Advocacy, he was selected as both the overall winner and the best cross-examiner in UBC Law’s annual mock trial competition, and he was chosen to represent UBC Law at the Western Canada Trial Competition.

JEFFREY C. BOSCHERT
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Friend, Colleague and Partner at Law, Jeffrey Boschert on January 19, 2022. Jeff was the Managing Partner of the Vernon Office of DuMoulin Boskovich LLP. Jeff had extensive experience in his field which included over 25 years in Real Estate Development. Jeff assisted his clients in every stage of the development process.
Jeff grew up on Vancouver Island. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at the University of British Columbia and his Bachelor of Law at the University of Victoria. Jeff was called to the Bar in 1995 and began his career in Victoria with the Firm, Crease Harman. Jeff went on to work as in-house legal counsel for a major strata-titled rental pool resort development on Vancouver Island before moving to Vernon. Jeff joined Davidson Lawyers LLP in 2002 where he was an Associate and Partner for 18 years. Jeff then joined forces with DuMoulin Boskovich LLP to open their second location in Vernon.
Jeff was the past President of the Vernon Bar Association, a past Director of both the North Okanagan Employment Enhancement Society (NOESS) and the United Way as well as a current Director of The People Place.
Jeff will be missed by his two boys, family, friends and colleagues.
